Photos on chipped broken or cracked teeth may need crowns created in our General Dentistry office. This broken tooth could not be treated and was extracted.
This photo shows a chipped and broken tooth. Note the portion of the tooth – in the left side of this photo – that has separated from the rest of the tooth. Broken and cracked teeth are common after root canal and that is why dental crowns are frequently recommended. Fortunately this chip did not extend far below the gum gingival margin and the patient received a dental crown.
