A sulcular incision extends into the retromolar pad exposing an impacted wisdom tooth in the lower jaw.

A sulcular incision is shown extending into the retromolar pad to initially expose the tooth.  Overlying bone is then removed using a high speed handpiece.  The Oral Surgeon will then section the tooth and elevate it, in several sections, out of the tooth socket.
